Zero - Sathileelaavathi End credits. hey, What is in this piece that made you guess that it could be from Thiruda Thiruda, the sound quality and percussion bangs?
Thiruda Thiruda has an excellent BGM during the train fight scenes. It has a burst violins and is an excellent piece may be a tad similar to this. You should check it out. And I though this was definitely not IR.
Saraks - It has IR's stamp all over except for the better sound quality. also, Thiruda Thiruda chase bgm has a beautiful string section but this one has a solo violin piece...
Well, Suresh, it was a very half-hearted guess and I was quite sure I was wrong. And, I didn't recollect this piece from Sathi Leelavathi at all. :|
Thiruda Thiruda has those superb pieces of string orchestra and I just wondered if this violin piece lurks somewhere in between in one of those comic scenes. And, yes, it could be the percussion bangs that brought Thiruda Thiruda to my mind.
Otherwise, this piece is Raajaesque in every sense. The flamboyant violin is his, so to say! Rahman's violin pieces are often mellifluous or moody and not flamboyant. (In general, I don't think Rahman has a signature style with violin pieces; at least, not half as much as Raaja does.) In fact, as I heard this piece, I was wondering if you've put it up because Rahman seems to have done a Raaja here (keeping in mind what you had said in one of your comments).
