This is a great post. I've always admired the bgm score of Lagaan and still listen it sometimes. But I've never been able to analyze so much and express them in words.
I think "Lagaan" is Rahman's best work in recent times as far as BGM is concerned. I don't know how many times I'm gonna mention this but well written Suresh.
Great Post... I have my self heard Lagaan music many times. And I too have been able to make the same connections between the BMG and the characters. But I never had the patience to write it down and share. Always thought I am the only one who delvs in such subtle areas.

superb. sometimes I wonder why I repeatedly see the film for a countless times though I don't understand any hindi conversation. Now I found that BGM holds the key from your post. Can you do the same for swades as well
