Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Death Race were released on 4th July 2008 and 19th August 2008 (soundtrack) respectively - so its difficult to say if there was plagiarism involved (either by ARR or by Paul Haslinger) or if it was just coincidence that both got the inspiration to use the same tune and the same instruments (highly unlikely).
2. The Pirates of the Carribean music is very iconic and is easily identified with the movies - so there is no doubt that it was plagiarised by Sabesh-Murali. The initial part of IKMS music seems to be inspired by Ennio Morricone's music from Once Upon A Time In The West.
3. The initial trumpets are similar, but the music changes in Madhrasapattinam and it is quite different from the Troy track (which I listened in its entirety - 8:30 mins - Achilles Leads The Myrmidons). I would say inspiration by GV Prakash.
I was just listening to songs of Admissions Open by Amit Trivedi. The song Dariya Ubale starts with the same tune as the one by ARR and Paul Haslinger.
Even I thought So about the guitar riff in Death race. It must be Guitar riff sample available to everyone to buy and use. The point to be noted is that the signature Rathod theme, that plays throughout JTYJN is not a Rahman's composition.

Visu - Sabesh-Murali have used a handful of Ennio Morricone's western themes throughout Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam. The original theme that G.V.Prakash composed for the film (which is included in the soundtrack CD) is also used throughout the film.
Ganapathy Ram - Also, it seems G.V.P is not keen in doing the background score for all his films. One more example, background score of "Vellithirai" is by Sundar.C.Babu

in Madarasapatinam there'll be small flute piece when arya and Amy have a conversation in the boat when an old man passes by and it was the prelude of Naan kattum selai madipila song of his uncle from Pudhiya mannargal movie , the only movie where ARR and Vikraman joined i guess

Reg. GVP, yeah. He is kind of taking too much of time to compose i think. He always outsources BGM. Not only IKMS. Angadi Theru, two songs plus BGM was by Vijay Antony.
Yes, the first one is a very common loop. Comes in several films these days. I also first heard it in 'kaRRadhu thamizh.' And if I'm not mistaken, Yuvan has used it in some of his other films too. And yeah, I remember it in JTYJN as well.
Zero - That loop, the tone of the guitar and the riff, fit so well for Rathods' Ranjore.
Another guitar riff I find so common is these days, is the one that begins the song 'Fiqrana' in Blue. Vidhyasagar used it in Kandaen Kaadhalai. Yuvan Shankar Raaja has used it in the song "Kuppaththu Raajaakkal" from Baana Kaaththaadi.
Recently, when I heard 'Kilimanjaro' song from Endhiran, the starting beat reminded me 'Kannukulle Keluthi' for some reason. Also, when the song proceeded I sensed similarities in lyrics such as 'yaaro yaaro' and 'eppo eppo'. I could be wrong. Just a thought of what came into my mind.
Do you guys remember the shameful Bombay imported BGM tracks that K.Balachander used for pudhu pudhu arthangal? All those tracks were regularly used in all Jeetendra darmendra cheap hindi movies alike. So in a "High class" way we are moving to the same shameful phase in our film music history!!!
JTYJN - DEATH RACE - When i was watching death race i have found the music played when the heroine is being stopped in the car. I realized that the same thing i have listen to from an ARR score..checked the dates of releases of both films...JTYJN came first.. :) i'm just wondering that you also found the same thing.!!! i was thinking that i'm the only person noticed it so far..!! You are an awesome listener! :)
