The footage looks amazing, but can't hear the music properly because of the dialogue. Could there be any chance of a score release? Since the movie is being promoted a lot, I sure hope so.
Ravi Krishna - Sun Pictures will milk money from Endhiran, in every possible way. So, I guess, Endhiran Original background Score will be released sooner or later.
sun pictures will do anything to make the movie run?just one of there marketing strategies..rahman with an orchestra.even they will show how rahman writes notation and gives it to the players..why such an orchestral arrangement used for a mediocre sci fi movie...rahman is a brand they are selling it to the public...good.thet are trying to prove that even rahman can write score for symphonic orchestra's and trying to cope where he miserably failed to cnduct birmingham orchestra
i saw the movie twice, the orchestral piece never comes in the movie, but it comes in the end credits, and it goes on for solid 10 minutes or more. It was breath-taking continous piece, and i was pleaded to go out from the theatre by sweeper guys. But i resisted, listened to it fully.
ARR BGM as a whole for the movie didnt work for me. If you watch the movie, hope you like both movie and the BGM.
Shuffle Head - I have seen the film twice. First time, I couldn't hear anything. Second time, the theatre in which I saw the film had poor sound. So, can't still form an opinion on the score.
Unfortunately both times, the moment "A film by Shankar" appeared, they switched off both audio and visual in the theatres in Salem.
I too saw the Movie twice for the first time i could't hear anything and second time i watched in PVR.. I was only listening to the background Score... Ooops thats was amazing score by ARR....
I am not even a fraction of a percent good enough to comment on ARR's bgm skills, but having listened to a lot of raja's bgm tunes, i have just 1 feel - the bgm of endhiran was totally 1 dimensional.
If a robot has emotions and can fall in love, my perception of bgm would have been different - it would have been a soulful leitmotif piece , and sorry i dint get that feel in theatre. The bgm was mechanical, just like a lifeless robot.
Sugeeth - As a concept, for a Robot having emotion and falling in love, one can say expect the BGM to be in a certain way. But, the BGM is scored based more on how the concept is realized visually than the concept itself.
In Endhiran, Rahman already has composed the song "Irumbilae Or Irudhayam" for the concept and uses the melody of this song as the leitmotif throughout the film. Soulful or not, depends upon what in one's perception, the soul of a Robot is.

Hello Suresh,
Have you analysed 7G Rainbow colony's BGM or Paruthiveeran's BGM? also Kathradu Tamizh?
In as much Tamizh movies I have seen, Yuvan seems to excel really well.
